Mary Povey will again be taking part in an art exhibition with other artists in aid of
St Catherines Hospice. The exhibition will be held in the Haven Centre, Hophurst
Lane in Crawley Down, West Sussex and will start with a Preview Evening on Friday from
6.30 - 9.00 pm. Tickets are available from Dorothy Hatswell on 01342 712087. On Saturday
the exhibition will take place from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. The exhibition will provide an
opportunity to showcase a group of artists from Sussex whilst supporting such an important
charity in our local community.
Edenbridge and Oxted Show at Lingfield
Mary exhibited her work at this show in August. The show was blessed with fine weather
but due to the current restrictions there was no livestock. Perhaps as a result the "Hereford
and Charolais Cross in Hartfield" proved popular. A number of vistors had been on
Intelligent Horsemanship courses at Hartsop Farm and recognised Antics, one couple had
even been at the Antics Charity Ball in Stratford upon Avon and seen the canvas auctioned!
Special Commission

The above work was a special commision to depict ten Haflinger ponies that helped to
form many of the breed lines currently in the UK. This work can be seen at the Haflinger
bred show which unfortunately, due to the exceptionally wet weather, will not be at
Malvern this year but has been relocated to Warwickshire College at Moreton Morrell on the
15th July 2007.
Print Auctioned at Charity Ball
A canvas print of Antics cantering was auctioned at the Annual Ball held by the Antics
Charity on 30th June 2007 in Stratford-upon-Avon.

commisioned to produce an image that could be used on various items of stationary. www.llamapark.co.uk
Antics Charity - supporting children affected by cancer
Antics is a Witney based charity associated with Intelligent Horsemanship
which started in August 2003 and became registered in February 2004 (Charity Number:
1102359). The charity has the specific aim to raise money for children, aged 18 years and
under, affected by cancer. This can be a child who is in active treatment for cancer; or
who has a sibling or parent in active treatment for cancer; or who has suffered
bereavement of a parent or sibling through cancer.
With the money raised through the charity funds are provided locally and nationally by
way of grant aid or through the purchase of goods or for social needs such as a relief
break for the child.
The charity raises money for children affected by cancer through the skewbald stallion
named Antics. One source of income for the charity is the stud fees generated
by Antics in addition to other fund raising events throughout the year.
Mary has produced a limited edition print of Antics which is being sold in aid of the
charity, prints can be purchased by contacting the Charity as below or via the Antics Charity web site.
