Sculpture - Lissa Borkowski

Lissa Borkowski, who is Mary Povey's sister, is a successful sculptress who lives and works in Italy with her Quarter and Maremana horses. After winning the Prix de Rome scholarship she has continued with her bronze sculptures on the theme of horses, bulls and dogs. A frequent exhibitor within London and Italy, including the Royal Academy and Palazzo Barberini National Museum of Rome, Lissa's work can be found in collections throughout Europe and the United States.

In 2009 Lissa's work was exhibited in the Society Of Equestrian Artists' Annual Exhibition at the Mall Gallery, London. Her work "Three Foals" won the British Sporting Trust's "Best piece of sculpture" prize. Link to the SEA website.

Her work can also be seen in this year's exhibition which is open to the public at the Mall Gallery, London from 2nd until 7th August.
